Diethylene Glycol & Ecig

Most Ecig manufacturers should test their product to make sure there is no Diethylene Glycol. Any user who does their research will find that DEG is a harmful chemical. As such they will only buy from suppliers that pay for third party testing of their product. Batches upon batches of it are tested daily and no trace of DEG is found. For a government health test to just happen to have it in their batch AND assume that suppliers don't trash batches containing it is fishy. Not just that but the only way they could explode is due to a faulty battery. To say it is the fault of the product itself or the fact that it is used to ingest nicotine is foolish. Anything that uses a battery can do the same. To take one instance out of 1,000,000 where the battery of a device fails and call it a safety hazard is a logical fallacy. If you compare it to the safety risk of conventional cigarettes, you'll find that they are responsible for NO cancer related deaths. In the end I see them posing no safety risk greater in proportion to that of using any other battery powered device. Their health risk is proportionate to that of Nicotine and still less than that of conventional cigarettes. To me personally, this sounds like greed of big tobacco rather than any legitimate bill. The more people find out about electronic cigarettes the less money they will make because they are a safer, healthier, and a less addictive way to smoke. In summary, Electronic cigarettes, their consumption, and their health risks are all of a nominal value compared to any other similar devices or chemical products. The single test performed by a government laboratory as well as the supposed safety risks and this bill are all a sham and logical fallacies. The government should never pass laws like this. They are designed to take away the freedoms of the people for corporate and individual greed. You see them all the time.
